Autumn & Kyle’s Blue Sky Mountain Ranch Micro Wedding
If a venue tucked away in the majestic mountains, surrounded by tall trees, cool breeze, and chirping birds is what you’ve been dreaming of for your Colorado wedding, the Blue Sky Mountain Ranch in Black Hawk can check all the boxes for you. Autumn and Kyle had a gorgeous micro wedding at the Blue Sky Mountain Ranch, and it was one of the loveliest weddings I’ve had the pleasure to photograph. The couple is so kind and generous, and I instantly knew that working with them would be a 5-star experience for me. And it genuinely was. These two did not treat me as a vendor but more like a friend, which was incredibly heartwarming.

Autumn and Kyle had a total of 11 guests and their 4 dogs at their Blue Sky Mountain Ranch wedding. As it was an intimate wedding so everything took place at the ranch where all the guests stayed. My couple’s planning also gave me more time than I usually have at weddings to roam around the property and photograph and experiment with poses, perspectives, and lighting.
From the photographs of Autumn’s Galina Signature wedding gown and the rings to the bridal bouquet by Plum Sage Flowers, I never had to worry about finding a spot that would make the beauty in my subjects shine through. Everything at this wedding was laced with elegance, and almost every corner had something that could double up as a backdrop. Autumn’s bridal bouquet wasn’t just another pretty bouquet either. My bride had attached a pendant with a picture of her late mother to it, and I thought that was such a thoughtful way to honor her and feel her presence at the wedding.
The breathtaking mountain views were the highlight of the wedding, but there were also some emotional moments that made it to my list, which without a doubt included the lovely first looks my bride had for her bridesmaids and her father.
My couple’s ceremony was sweet and simple. Michael Hidalgo from the Denver community church was the officiant, and Autumn’s sister’s daughter and Kyle’s brother’s daughter were the flower girls. I loved that we had more time after the ceremony for photos. Besides doing things that many other newlyweds do, like popping a champagne bottle, Autumn and Kyle got a little adventurous as they climbed a boulder for the most beautiful views. Now, that’s one way to start a new journey together! And, of course, this made it to my list of memorable moments from their wedding too. And while this next thing I am going to mention is heavier on the cute side, it was just as amazing, and that was taking photos of Autumn and Kyle’s with their furry babies. My couple was glowing and smiling wide, and their pets were just being their usual adorable selves. Family photos for the win!
